Press Release Body: New York, NY- On Sunday, September 14th, 2008, see the dance extravaganza, Sunset Strips, benefiting the AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) and the Actors Fund, co-directed by award-winning choreographer Travis Payne. Payne teams up with award-winning director, David Galligan to bring this sophisticated and provocative show for one night only to Hollywood. This is Travis' second time having the opportunity to work with the APLA in directing spectacular dance shows in support of the APLA, an outstanding organization helping the Los Angeles community fight the AIDS epidemic.
Sunset Strips is a burlesque-style dance show, transitioning between high-energy production numbers, and comedic twists in a story about the journey of an innocent character (Leslie Jordan) along the legendary Sunset Strip and the colorful characters he meets along the way. Dance repertories range from Burlesque, Ballroom, Modern, Jazz, Musical Comedy, Breaking, Krunking, Martial Arts, Aerial, and Hip Hop. Payne says that "this year's theme revolves around legendary and historic icons along the sunset strip, past and present. Co-directing with renowned director, David Galligan, we will create a stellar experience that we'll all be proud of!"
See Travis Payne's masterful direction and choreography in Sunset Strips, with honorary celebrity Co-Chairs Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, from Dancing with the Stars, and over 100 of LA's talented and sexy professional dancers from the stage, TV, and Film in this show. This night of dance, music, comedy, and burlesque will take place at Boulevard3 in Hollywood. This event benefitting the APLA and Actors Fund begins at 6:30pm with a VIP cocktail reception. The show begins at 8pm, followed by an after-party until midnight.

ABOUT TRAVIS PAYNE
Travis has been dancing since he was nine years old. He has been making a mark on the entertainment industry for years now with his remarkable routines, visionary styling and impeccable sense of movement. He is the youngest inductee into the Gallery of Greats, and the recipient of numerous nominations and awards. Travis is a four-time recipient of the MTV Award for Best Choreography, first in 1992 for Enough's My Lovin, in 1993 for EnVogue's Free Your Mind, and a recipient yet again in 1994 for EnVogue and Salt n Pepa's duet, Whatta Man and yet again in 1995 for Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson's ground breaking Scream video. He has achieved three American Choreography Awards including one for best choreography in the Music Video category for his work on Michael and Janet Jackson's 1995 video for Scream as well as for Michael Jackson's Ghosts. Also in 1995 Travis was nominated for an Emmy Award for his outstanding work with Michael Jackson for the MTV Music Awards opening segment and later received a 2nd Emmy Nomination for Disney's Suite Life of Zach and Cody. His most recent work was seen on Dancing with the Stars, where Payne choreographed a tribute segment to Michael Jackson, which included the sensational singer and dancer, Omarion.
